The journey to the hotel was via the Gornergrat Railway which was pretty hectic as it’s the railway skiers use to get to the top, stopping at lots of stations all the luggage storage was used for ski’s. The views from the train were amazing. The hotel was easy to access from the station with a lift to get you to reception. The reception area is small and un-manned from 5.30pm until 9am. Rooms are basic but clean and a double is two singles pushed together with single duvets.we didn’t have a tv control and our shower was broken, and it took a while to get it sorted (they used tape to mend the shower!!). The restaurant is nice and food good (well it was after our first night) we were served raw chicken and when i told them they took our plates away and returned with another chicken dish, had i been asked I would have said I didn’t want it again!! There was no choice for dinner, everyone had the same. The restaurant and bar closed no later than 10pm. WARNING - don’t be fooled about the altitude sickness it’s brutal

Breathtaking views, amazing location, being able to snowboard straight out of hotel doors. What else could a man want? I highly recommend this hotel. The experience is once in a life time. What made our stay extra pleasant is the service. Miss Gabriella at the reception desk was super helpful and pleasant. We had dinner and breakfast included in our stay, and our server Piotr gave us amazing service as well. At 10 pm at night we had a tour of the observatory. Our tour guide was amazing as well. I learned new constellations and he even allowed me to look at the Jupiter from his telescope. I actually saw Jupiter and all four of his moons with my own eyes! Never thought I would have an opportunity like this in my life. Loved everything about this place and would love to stay here again!

The Kulm is unique but I think folks would be better off staying in Zermatt proper. The altitude is just over 10,500 feet, there is no “village” and the food was just ok.

Absolutely amazing, it was beyond incredible. Room with Matterhorn view was spectacular, tower room had tons of windows & views everywhere. Breakfast & dinners were included in reservation & creativity and variety was delicious. The pastries were the best I’ve had! So many folks working at hotel were kind, helpful & entertaining. Robin particularly made excellent suggestions on ski runs & restaurants, he really went out of his way. It’s at elevation though & mountain sickness is no joke! Definitely buy ski pass daily which includes all trains & gondolas for less than train tickets alone. We were Beginning & advanced skier couple and we both had a great experience. Thank you for a memorable trip!
