Hotel in a stunningly beautiful location with onsen
7.0The view from the communal areas was fantastic looking back over the valley to the mountain range. The buffet breakfast and additional buffet dinner was amazing with a huge selection of delicious Japanese foods. Access to the hotels onsen was great once we worked out where it was and who went where. We went to the hotels onsen for the guests at night and again after breakfast. The private baths were fully booked and we went to the ones where all females are in one and all male sin another and they were hotel guests. The hotel had baths at the other end for the general public. The free hotel shuttle from the train station only goes at certain times. We paid 700 yen for a taxi for the 1.5 kms which was OK. One lady at the reception spoke very good English. She was helpful, phoning for a taxi to take us to the gondola to get to the Mountain Bakery. I think this cost us about 2400 yen from memory. It was late in the day and we didnt think we had time to wait for the bus. We caught the bus back from the gondola base to the train station.
− We had a room with a carpark view and not the mountain view. It would be worth it to pay extra for the spectacular mountain view. The room was very small. The bathroom was very small but then we used the onsen instead. The hotel was a bit dated but I enjoyed this nostalgia. Otherwise it was well worth the experience of visiting this hotel.
Excellent staff services
9.0Staff (both morning and night shift)with good language abilities and they are very kind and helpful. My son left his passport and other belongings at Takashaki Aeon mall. Their staff helped to call and locate my son stuff and arrange pickup at the mall. Their staff are extraordinarily well perform and I would like to express my great appreciation to them.
